WHY

NCP Contracting is committed to me and exceed community expectations and standards, through its management and control of environment issues.We intend to achieve this goal by the ongoing development of systems and dissemination of information as appropriate to all workers.

Through compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, in conjunction with the ongoing development, implementation, monitoring and review of environmental management systems it is our belief that we will achieve this aim of ensuring  that all management and workers are aware of their environmental obligations and individual responsibilities.

DETAILS

To ensure environmentally responsible behaviour is accepted as an integral part  of our operations, we specifically undertake to:

  • Conduct operations in compliance with relevant environmental laws, regulations and community expectations.
  • Integrate environmental requirements within all aspects of NCP Contracting's operations.
  • Ensure all employees take care to avoid spillage or disposal of chemicals, fuels and the like into or nearby established or natural drainage systems.Storage of these and like materials must also be kept clear from drainways.
  • All waste must be placed in appropriate bins so nothing can blow out or fall out.
  • All plant  and equipment must be fitted with with effective exhaust and/or muffler systems.
  • Vehicles and plant that leak oils or other environmentally damaging fluids must be repaired immediately.
  • Educate our employees and contractors on their environmental responsibilities and ensure this is integrated into their work practices, training and decision making.
  • Identify and manage environmental risks within  our operations and to apply best practise  principles to improve our impact on the environment.
  • Openly report on our environmental performance  and make it easliy assessable to employees and the community.
  • Identify opportunities  to educate and promote environmental sustainability to our employees,contractors, customers and the community in general.

Ultimately it is the responsibility of all persons within the organization to accept their individual obligations, to ensure the minimization of impact to the environment of our undertakings.

Repeated failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action being  taken.
